Don't forget that Tahoe in early October can be downright warm. Remember those Indian Summers? Most of the summer visitors have gone home and Tahoe is left with sunny days and cooler nights. The last few autumns have been exceptional for the changing colors in Hope Valley . This is also a great time to take a hike, literally as the crowds have gone and the weather is still kind. Even the beach still welcomes in the early weeks of October.
